Terms of service

RowToPDF is a formatting tool. It turns the rows of a spreadsheet into individually named PDF documents. It does not calculate tax, verify payroll figures, or give legal, accounting or HR advice.

1. Acceptance

By using this site or buying a plan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the tool. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.

2. The service

The tool accepts CSV/TSV data (comma-, tab- or semicolon-separated), renders one A4 page per row using the layout you select, names each PDF from the field you choose, and packages the results into a ZIP archive. Rendering takes place entirely in your browser. We do not operate a document-processing backend.

Generated PDFs are image-based: each page is a high-resolution canvas image embedded in a PDF. Text inside those PDFs is therefore not selectable, and we do not warrant optical character recognition accuracy.

3. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you put into the tool, and for having the right to process it.
• You are responsible for checking the output before sending it to anyone, including names, amounts, dates and file names.
• You are responsible for determining whether a generated document satisfies the legal, tax or regulatory requirements of your jurisdiction.
• You must keep any access codes or licence keys for paid plans confidential.

4. No professional advice

Nothing on this site is tax, legal, accounting, payroll or compliance advice. Payslip, grade report and certificate layouts are generic templates, not jurisdiction-specific forms. Feed the tool figures you have already validated, and have a qualified payroll professional sign off on any rules specific to your jurisdiction.

5. Plans, credits and billing

The Free plan is an unlimited, watermarked preview: exports carry a visible RowToPDF watermark and are limited to 20 rows per batch. Activating a paid license removes the watermark. Credit packs are one-time purchases; credits do not expire. A Team plan is a recurring monthly subscription whose 1,000-document allowance resets each calendar month. Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page.

Payment, invoicing, VAT/GST and sales-tax collection are handled by our Merchant-of-Record, Creem, not by us. Their checkout terms apply to the transaction. Recurring Team plans can be cancelled at any time; cancellation stops future charges.

6. Purchases and refunds

The free plan generates the complete document — including your own footer and file names — with a visible watermark, so you can verify exactly what a paid export looks like before buying. Paid licenses are delivered immediately as a digital key, and purchases are final except for duplicate charges or an activation fault on our side. Refunds are governed by our refund policy and are processed through our Merchant-of-Record, Creem. Where the payment provider's mandatory consumer rules or the law of your country of residence give you broader rights, those rights apply.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to produce fraudulent documents, to impersonate another organisation, to process data you have no right to process, to attempt to circumvent licensing or remove the free-plan watermark, or to resell the tool as a standalone service. You may not reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or interfere with the site's operation. We may suspend access for abuse.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is". Because it is a static client-side application, features, layouts and limits may change between releases. We may modify or discontinue any plan with reasonable notice, and we will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change. Unused credits remain usable after a plan change.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for errors in documents that were not checked before use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable at the operator's place of residence, without limiting mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your own country of residence.
