Privacy policy

RowToPDF does not receive your spreadsheets. The entire tool is a single static page that runs inside your browser — there is no server endpoint that could accept an upload, even if we wanted one.
1. Data processed on your device
When you paste or open a CSV/TSV file, that text is parsed by JavaScript in your browser tab. Document pages are drawn on a canvas, turned into PDF bytes and packed into a ZIP archive in memory. The finished archive is offered as a local download. At no point are your rows, names, salary figures, student records or generated files transmitted to us or to any third party.
You can verify this: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, clear it, then generate a batch. You will see no request carrying your data. Free previews make no network requests at all; once a paid license is active, the tool makes one small license check before exporting.
2. What is stored locally
The site uses your browser's localStorage for a few small values: your organisation name, document title, both footer lines, file-name format, document-number preference, accent colour and column choices (so your brand settings survive a refresh); your license key if you activate a paid plan; and a short queue of any credit charge that was interrupted by a dropped connection. There is no free-tier usage counter and no click counter — the free plan is distinguished by a watermark on the exported page itself, not by tracking you. These values stay in your own browser and are never sent with your document data. Clearing site data removes them; re-pasting your key restores your balance from our server.
We do not set cookies, load analytics scripts, use third-party fonts or CDNs, include advertising pixels, or fingerprint your device. The only network request the tool makes is a license check to our API (api.rowtopdf.com) when you activate or use a paid license — that request carries only your license key, never your spreadsheet contents. All document generation happens on your device.
3. Payments
Paid plans are processed by our independent Merchant-of-Record, Creem. When you buy a credit pack or a Team plan, you leave this site for the provider's checkout. That provider collects the information needed to complete the transaction — such as your email, billing details and card information — and acts as its own data controller under its own privacy policy.
We receive only an order identifier, the plan purchased and the transaction status. We never see or store your full card number, and we cannot initiate charges ourselves. Sales taxes and VAT are handled by the provider.
4. Support correspondence
If you email us, we keep that message and your address only for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the request. Please do not attach spreadsheets containing personal data to a support email — it is never necessary for us to see your files.
5. Sharing and retention
We do not sell, rent or share personal data with advertising networks or data brokers. Because document content never reaches us, there is nothing to retain: closing or refreshing the tab discards it. We may disclose information only where required by applicable law.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold, and you can object to processing. For data held by a payment provider, exercise your rights with that provider directly. Local browser settings can be deleted at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
7. Children
RowToPDF is a business tool intended for organisations and professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted on the main site.
